water find 'may end Darfur war'

a huge underground lake has been found in Sudan's Darfur region, scientists say, which they believe could help end the conflict in the arid region
. CLICK HERE FOR THE BBC NEWS STORY. i think the title of this article is a bit deceiving given that the obvious roots of this conflict have much more to do with deep seated hate than people fighting over resources. still, that does not take away from the fact that this is beautiful news. i pray it leads to some change.

This is extremely exciting news!

But I do agree with you that the article/title is misleading. It's hard for me to believe that the conflict is raging over resources when the Janjaweed purposely contaminate water supplies of villages with dead bodies to calculate starvation.

There's still much to be done, but this is a great blessing nevertheless. :]
