remember that the tax collectors and prostitutes loved to feast with Jesus and the religious establishment gossiped about him and dissected his teachings and questioned his commitment to orthodoxy and eventually had him killed. there's a lesson for us there.

this morning as i was getting my breakfast, one of the cooks turned to me and asked if i thought that more people are attending church now due to the economic crisis that we are in.
what do you think?
and then,
as i sat down to eat, my friend noticed that i was "staring at my sandwich." i looked up at her and said "no, im praying."
people are searching and so eager for a ray of light that if we just listen, we'll hear their calls.
